Macarthur Paediatric Occupational Therapy services children and teenagers under the age of 18 years with a variety of different disabilities including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder: ranging from level 1 to 3.

How do I make a referral?
- 
Anyone can refer a child to our service with parents’ consent. 
- 
Referrals are often made by parents, other family members, paediatricians, teachers, school counselors, or case workers. 
- 
Depending on therapist availability to suit your family's needs, we aim to see children within four weeks of referral.

Services offered:
- 
Standardised Assessment (Sensory, diagnosic groups, visual perception and special provisions). 
- 
Screening Assessments (Handwriting, Pre-School). 
- 
Functional Assessments (Play skills, social engagement, self care). 
- 
Services provided in practice, at school or at home. 
- 
Group therapy programs: 
-School Starters group.
-Social Skills groups.
-Fine motor skills groups (Buildanauts) ​
- 
Education for parents and teachers. 
- 
Consultation with schools, preschools and other community groups.

An assessment is usually required to establish a baseline for therapy and determine what areas are impacting on your childs everyday functioning.
All assessments include a report and ongoing therapy will be determined from the results presented in the assessment.

Rebates
All staff are registered Medicare and Health Fund Providers. Rebates can be accessed through the following (please speak to a therapist when making an initial appointment):

Macarthur Paediatric Occupational Therapy is a registered practice with the National Disability Insurance Scheme and we are able to see NDIA managed clients, third party managed clients and self-managed clients.
